Post Summary: The Visitor Ambassador welcomes visitors to Trinity, helping them to familiarize themselves with the campus and to make the most out of the attractions we have to offer. This role supports the Visitor Experience team to provide a warm welcome to visitors to the Book of Kells Experience. It also supports the management of tickets, day-to-day operations and ensures other duties specified below are delivered effectively and efficiently, ensuring we are maximizing revenue opportunities.
The post holder will be required to work across our tourism services, including the Old Library Building, The Book of Kells Experience, our ticketing kiosks, and supporting visitors in navigating their visitor journey.
The Visitor Ambassadors work closely with the Visitor Experience Officers and the Library Guards to ensure a smooth visitor experience is provided. They also work alongside the broader team in the Commercial Revenue Unit, including the Trinity Trails team.
There are various shift options, both full time and part time. This role includes weekend and evening work. At busier times of the year, extended opening hours will apply and the Visitor Ambassadors will be required to work both early and late shifts.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The purpose of this employment is to support the Old Library Redevelopment Project. As the role is directly linked to the duration of this project, the contract is not of indefinite duration and will conclude upon the project's completion.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Library Shop Assistant 3 Salary Scale (€1,110.21 - € 1,410.60 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
