Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
The Centre of Micro/nano Manufacturing Technology (www.mnmt-dublin.org) has been established at the University College Dublin (UCD) to deliver high-impact, innovative science and engineering research since 2016. MNMT- Dublin has particular focus on instruments development and high precision manufacturing combined with optical and bio-medical technologies applied in optical image, visual optics, and bio-medical implants. The Centre brings together a multi-disciplinary team of over 20 PhD and Post-Doc researchers in manufacturing engineering, instrumentation and optics, in fundamental and translational research.
Project Description: High-precision manufacturing for optical and bio-medical applications is a government funded project primed to develop high-precision manufacturing technology for optical and bio-medical applications. The project scope covers ultra-precision machining, micro/nano fabrication and nanometric surface finishing.
PD1 Salary: €47,273 - €47,879 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
