As we continue to grow and expand our client base, we are currently seeking Protocol Champion to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical projects based on a prominent client site based in Leixlip.
This role is critical in ensuring that all personnel, subcontractors and activities comply with client protocols, contamination control requirements, safety standards and quality expectations. Acting as a visible presence across the Fab and Sub-Fab environments, the successful candidate will promote best practice, support workforce compliance and help maintain the exceptionally high standards required within a live manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Act as Weltec's Protocol Champion across the Fab and Sub-Fab environments, promoting compliance with all client site protocols and standards.
Monitor site activities to ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved procedures, housekeeping requirements and contamination control standards.
Conduct site inspections and audits before, during and after works, identifying and reporting any protocol, safety or quality concerns.
Support SL2 sign-off activities, ensuring work areas are returned to the required client standard following completion of works.
Monitor compliance relating to tools, materials, equipment and approved work processes within controlled environments.
Assist with workforce onboarding and deliver protocol awareness training to employees and subcontractors.
Support permit-to-work processes, including dirty works permits and associated compliance requirements.
Participate in EHS, quality and client audits, ensuring findings are addressed and communicated effectively.
Coordinate delivery inspections and material control processes in accordance with client requirements.
Support system walkdowns, snagging activities and quality inspections.
Work closely with site management, construction teams, EHS personnel and client representatives to drive a culture of safety, quality and accountability.
Promote the principle of ownership and housekeeping excellence across all work areas.
Requirements
Trade Qualification, Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience working within a semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
Strong understanding of site compliance, housekeeping standards, contamination control, and safe working practices.
Experience carrying out site inspections, audits, walkdowns, or compliance monitoring activities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with trades personnel, subcontractors, supervisors, and client representatives.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address non-compliant behaviours, quality issues, and protocol deviations.
Experience supporting permit-to-work systems, safety procedures, inductions, or workforce training would be advantageous.
IOSH Managing Safely, Train-the-Trainer or other relevant certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
