Remuneration

The salary scale for the post is (01/06/2026):

€62,699, €63,737, €64,615, €66,048, €67,633, €69,189, €70,745, €72,497, €74,123, €76,921, €79,227 LSI

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

As per HR Circular 012/25 Please note that previous experience working in the public service counts only where the individual was employed directly by the relevant Civil Service/Public Body. Purpose of the post

The post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM 2) has a pivotal role in service planning,

Co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: management of the delivery of a high standard of nursing care, quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development and induction, practice development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership.

Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in the area of gerontological nursing as relevant to the role.
