About the Role:

H&MV Engineering is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager – Events & Sponsorships to lead the strategy, planning, and delivery of H&MV’s global events, exhibitions, and sponsorship portfolio.

This role sits within the Events & Sponsorships functional pillar and is responsible for ensuring that all external and internal events, sponsorships, and corporate activations are high‑quality, commercially aligned, and deliver measurable value to the business.

The role will lead a dedicated events and sponsorships team, manage external suppliers and partners, and work closely with business development, regional teams, and senior leadership to support growth, client engagement, and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Events & Sponsorships Strategy
  • Define and deliver H&MV’s global events and sponsorships strategy, aligned to commercial objectives and regional priorities
  • Develop annual and regional plans covering:
  • Trade shows and exhibitions
  • Corporate sponsorships
  • Client and partner events
  • Internal and corporate events
  • Ensure all activity supports business development, client engagement, and brand positioning

 

Trade Shows, Exhibitions & External Events:

  • Lead the end‑to‑end planning and execution of H&MV’s exhibition and trade show programme globally
  • Oversee stand concepts, asset development, logistics, supplier coordination, and onsite delivery
  • Ensure consistent brand standards, messaging, and experience across all events
  • Work closely with regional and sector teams to maximise commercial impact and audience relevance

 

Sponsorships & Corporate Activations:

  • Own H&MV’s global sponsorship portfolio, including evaluation, selection, and activation
  • Ensure sponsorship investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver clear ROI
  • Manage sponsorship activations, launches, and supporting materials
  • Track and report on sponsorship performance and value

 

Internal Events & Business Support:

  • Lead delivery of key internal events in collaboration with Communications and HR teams
  • Support business development activities through high‑quality event experiences and supporting assets
  • Oversee the corporate merchandise platform and event‑related collateral

 

People, Stakeholder & Agency Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop an events and sponsorships team
  • Set objectives, manage performance, and support professional development
  • Manage event agencies, stand builders, venues, and suppliers
  • Build strong working relationships across:

 

Senior leadership:

  • Business development and commercial teams
  • Regional marketing teams
  • Communications and brand counterparts

 

Budget, Governance & Performance:

  • Own events and sponsorships budgets, ensuring strong commercial discipline and cost control Establish KPIs and reporting across attendance, engagement, leads, and ROI
  • Deliver post‑event evaluations and insights to inform future planning
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, impact, and experience

 

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • 7–10+ years’ senior marketing experience, ideally within B2B, engineering, infrastructure, construction, or technical services
  •  Proven experience leading events, exhibitions, and sponsorships at a senior level
  • Strong track record in:

- Trade show and exhibition management

- Sponsorship strategy and activation

- Corporate and client event delivery

· Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex, multi‑stakeholder events to deadline and budget

· Proven people leadership and team management experience

· Strong stakeholder management, organisation, and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience working in a global or multi‑region organisation
  • Familiarity with energy, data centre, utilities, or major infrastructure sectors
  • Experience managing complex agency and supplier ecosystems
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on ROI and performance measurement
