BIM Coordinator - Dublin (Design and Build)
Description
At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
With approximately £14 billion in annual revenue and a global team of nearly 40,000 people, Jacobs delivers end‑to‑end services across cities and places, energy, environmental, life sciences, transportation, advanced facilities and water. Through advisory and consulting, feasibility, planning, design, programme and lifecycle management, we are shaping a more connected, resilient and sustainable world by applying our collective expertise to solve complex challenges.
Jacobs’ Cities & Places team in Ireland is growing, supporting major programmes across transport, water and sustainable infrastructure. These are complex, multidisciplinary projects where good information and coordinated models directly shape project outcomes.
We’re looking for a BIM Coordinator who can bring structure, clarity and consistency to how projects are delivered digitally. You’ll be joining a team where BIM is treated as a core part of project delivery, not an add-on. The projects are large, varied and technically demanding, and your role will sit at the centre of how teams work together — helping to ensure information is clear, coordinated and delivers real value.
This role is about more than managing models.
You’ll help teams work from a single, reliable source of information—reducing rework through better coordination and early issue resolution, while making data consistent, accessible, and usable. In doing so, you’ll enable a shift from siloed disciplines to a fully coordinated design approach that delivers better outcomes.
Your contribution will improve how projects are delivered day-to-day — making collaboration easier and outputs more reliable.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting preparation of BIM documentation and asset information requirements
Managing project information within the CDE in line with ISO 19650 and internal processes
Coordinating digital delivery of models and data from planning through to project close-out
Ensuring effective sharing of information across project teams and stakeholders
Overseeing model setup, audits, data integration and quality assurance to meet project and industry standards
Maintaining compliance with ISO 19650 and Jacobs Information Management processes
Establishing and managing the Common Data Environment (CDE)
Leading or supporting coordination meetings and managing federated models
Carry out clash detection and resolution throughout the project lifecycle
Supporting teams with BIM tools and processes, including training where needed
Contributing to improving BIM workflows and digital delivery efficiency
You’ll bring experience in a BIM coordination or digital delivery role within the Design and Build or Building infrastructure sector, along with a solid, practical understanding of ISO 19650. You’ll be comfortable working with tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Revit and Navisworks, and confident collaborating across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining consistent standards.
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to problem solving and improving workflows will be key in this role.
A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Proven experience in BIM, digital delivery, or a similar role within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector (ideally across buildings, infrastructure, transportation, or energy projects)
Experience supporting or contributing to BIM delivery on complex, multidisciplinary projects
Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 and how it is applied in practice.
Experience using key BIM tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Revit or Navisworks
Exposure to additional tools (e.g. Civil 3D, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Revizto, ProjectWise or other CDE platforms) is beneficial
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through technical challenges.
