Description
At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow. With approximately £14 billion in annual revenue and a global team of nearly 40,000 people, we deliver end‑to‑end services across cities and places, transportation, energy, environment, water, life sciences and advanced facilities. From advisory and consulting through planning, design, programme and lifecycle management, we partner with our clients to deliver solutions that are sustainable, resilient and fit for the future.
Our Cities & Places team in Ireland is growing and looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to help lead the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil and structural infrastructure projects across Ireland. Working with key clients such as the Land Development Agency, National Transport Authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and local authorities, you will bring strong technical insight, confident leadership and commercial awareness to shape outcomes that matter.
As a Project Manager at Jacobs, you will be a trusted leader and problem‑solver who brings clarity, structure and momentum to complex projects. You will apply your experience across the full project lifecycle to guide multi‑disciplinary teams, manage risk, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead projects from feasibility through design, procurement and construction, aligning scope, programme and budget with client objectives. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, you will enable designers, specialists, contractors and stakeholders to work effectively together, resolving challenges early and maintaining focus on delivery.
You will act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, building strong, transparent relationships and providing confident leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to understand client needs, challenge assumptions where appropriate and translate strategic objectives into practical delivery plans will be central to your success.
With a strong grasp of technical delivery, you will oversee design coordination and technical reviews, ensuring designs are robust, buildable and compliant with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. You will also play a key role in contractor‑facing environments, providing assurance, managing change and supporting informed decision‑making on behalf of our clients.
You will bring a balanced combination of project management, technical understanding and coordination skills, supported by a commercially aware approach to scope, cost, programme and risk management. Through effective planning, reporting and governance, you will maintain visibility of progress, identify potential issues early and implement practical mitigation strategies.
Safety and sustainability will underpin everything you do. You will ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and promote a proactive safety culture across all stages of project delivery.
You will be comfortable presenting ideas, facilitating workshops, evaluating alternatives and clearly communicating progress, risks and solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects, collaborate with talented colleagues across disciplines, and develop your career within a global organisation that values inclusion, innovation and professional growth.
At Jacobs, your expertise helps shape places and communities for generations to come.
